its been done before:
"True" multicolour, you can cast it with EITHER black or white mana, but the effects you can trigger only work with the appropriate type (of mana).
So in GW it would be you can equip "Searing Blade" because you have either a W or a El as primary or secondary BUT unless you have the two you only trigger one effect when you use it.
Monocolour with multicolor triggered effects, you can ONLY cast it with blue mana BUT the triggered effects require white or black.
In GW this translates as you can ONLY equip skill "X" to a certain class (primary attribute linked or other system) BUT multiple secondary professions can be used for different end results.
simple. and a great hack i may add.

Okay I was just reading this topic now laughing my head off. Sorry if I've come in late... Can I say, over powered? COMPLETELY!!!!
Here's the stats on your suggestion: 20 second stance, 33% faster attack speed, double damage (which with a hammer = 38-70 damage), and if your using a hammer can keep them knocked down for 7 seconds (since base knockdown is 2 seconds + 5 from the skill)
So if I used this on you, and you were a monk, or any low armor casting profession, this should kill you in about, 4 or 5 hits? Maybe less depends on the attack buff from other sources (ex: enchants, shouts, etc)
Not to mention this skill only costs 10 energy and outlasts it's recharge. Perma-knock down. Can you say lawl?

/notsigned class fusion, i like having very different profs and being able to link them together, it helps make Guild Wars the game it is, and separates it from run of the mill MMOs

You could possibly add cross profession elite skills without dramatically altering the balance of the game.
The fusing characters hmm have to think about that one, I recon it might lead to them then asking for a secondary profession later on.
You know how greedy some of us are.
